As everyone probably already knows our family is heading to sunny Hawaii this August. We're all really excited for this new adventure--our lives just keep getting better! Clark is excited to start his Masters program, but he's a little nervous because he really wants to have very good Korean when he starts. Anyways, I'm sure he'll do well in the program. Sometimes I feel sorry for Arielle because we're moving literally every year to a new place but you'll be suprised how adaptable kids are. One comforting thing for sure is no matter where you are as long as you're together as a family it's all good.
Finally the Sakura season's over and we're all sad about it. It was fun to go to the park everyday with the kids and friends to see the Sakura. Arielle will be four on May 30th and Ryosei just turned three months old. We love our expanding family. Arielle is just getting better with Japanese skills and Ryosei is really cute. He smiles all the time regardless of his condition and the people-- he just loves everyone. Finally, Arielle is going to Kindergarten all day now (8:30-2:30). She has a lot of friends. Everyone is really nice to her. In Japan the kids really get along well with one another; I think it's because of the group mentality--they want to make sure everyone in the organization feels included, which is a good thing but there are certainly drawbacks to the group mentality.
On Tuesday, April 28 is my birthday and I'll be 26 years old. I can feel the reality of aging starts to kick in. I'm glad I'm getting older because I feel a lot wiser, more mature than before--I'm happy with all the results I made over these past years. For my birthday, I want to go to Hotspring and eat Sushi. Clark promised me he'll grant my birthday wishes.
I've been going to the gym every day to burn off all the baby fat. I'm geting closer to my pre-pregnacy weight but I still have a long way to go. I also attend a Japanese cooking class twice a month. Clark has been complaining about my food and I agree with him--my foods lately are so gross even I couldn't eat them. Anyways, I'm glad I can learn to make some new dishes.
These last four months we're just trying to spend a lot of family time together. Once Clark starts school he won't be able to help or spend time much with us. Once we're in Hawaii the kids and I will go to the beach everyday and we're excited for that. I'm also excited to recover my English skills, which have been damaged living oversea too long.
